To achieve its energy transition, Guyana must have a carbon price of $70 per tonne. However, currently, it's not even close to $70 per tonne; in fact, it's not even $7.

During a meeting in Guyana, Former Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Dr. Mohammed Irfaan Ali expressed that COP28 would provide an opportunity to shift from mere pledges and promises to establishing the appropriate framework for climate finance.

Victoria Falls is hosting the First edition of the Africa Voluntary Carbon Credits Market (AVCCM) Forum. The AVCCM forum is platform that has been established to promote voluntary market. Former SA President, Cde Jacob Zuma addressing delegates, said that Zimbabwe is proving to be forward looking by coming up with such a Forum.

The main objective of the Forum is to create awareness among African citizens about the importance of mitigating climate change by reducing their carbon footprint.
