Wendel Clark comes off the bench as an extra attacker and ties Game 6 of the #StanleyCup semifinals. Then, the play #Toronto hockey zealots still lament, 33 years(!) later, as Wayne #Gretzky gets away with cutting Doug Gilmour. Just prior to overtime. If the Leafs had scored, it would have set up a Cup final encounter with the #Canadiens. Instead, Gretzky was still around to connect on the powerplay, then dominated Game 7 at the Gardens. It’s still the closest Leafs have come since ‘67 to playing for the #NHL championship. Bob Cole and Harry Neale called the play. I was sitting two rows behind them for The FAN-1430. #LAKings #LeafsForever
