Aveea

Let’s show all students what a life in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics could look like. #EverydayIsASchoolDay

At @kestrelmead, our KS1 kiddos are diving into the world of CAD & CAM, usually reserved for seasoned engineers! 🌟 Imagine, at 5, they're using tools like Cricut, akin to what's used to design marvels like The Shard!

At our K'NEX workshop at Little Hill , kids built racing vehicles with a twist: some discovered the motor runs faster backward! 🔄 Now that's thinking like an engineer! 🛠️🧠

🔬🧈 Water-repellent showdown at Aveea Academy! Found out butter beats some specialized sprays! 🤯💦 Who knew? Try this fun #STEM experiment at home and see for yourself! 🏠🧪 #ScienceIsFun #STEMforKids #AveeaSTEMChallenge

[Aveea @aveea_org]

We introduced our spike coding kits, and the creativity was off the charts! Students built fans, oscillated motors, and programmed controls, all underpinned by Scratch. Push a button, and voilà!

Unraveling the secrets of slime at South Harringay! 🧪 What gives it that unique squish? Our young scientists had a blast diving into the nitty-gritty, unveiling the fun side of chemistry. With #AveeaAcademy, every experiment is a journey of discovery. 🎉 @HaringeyEduc

Incredible talent at South Harringay Primary School! 🌉 Our second Aveea workshop ever, and these young engineers built bridges that held nearly a kilo! At #AveeaAcademy, we're constantly amazed by the potential of our students. 💪🚀 #BridgeBuilders #YoungEngineers @HaringeyEduc

[Aveea @aveea_org]

STEM starts early at #AveeaAcademy! 🌟 Our reception class at Hillside Primary dove into the world of materials, identifying their types and uses. Curious young minds paving their way into the future of STEM. Every discovery counts! 🍎🔍 #STEMForAll #EarlyEducation

🤖 aw one of our tiny robots do a spin today. Who knew tech could have such dance moves?

[Aveea @aveea_org]

Today's question: Why are some toys hard and others soft? It's amazing what you learn when you start asking. Loving these learning moments with #AveeaAcademy #CuriousMinds

[Aveea @aveea_org]

We're exploring structural engineering basics with some hands-on experience! Building quake-resistant structures, testing them against tremors, and adding some friendly competition to see whose creations will survive! Now ain't that a thrilling activity?

🔬Exciting sessions on friction are underway for our KS1 pupils! Understanding these scientific principles early on lays a strong foundation for their future learning, where they become essential building blocks.🌟

We're kicking off our brand new sessions at @StPaulsOadby with our beloved little robots from @SpheroEdu

There isn't anything quite like watching your code come to life as little balls zooming about.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon, huh?🤖

Holding up a large box with nothing but pieces of card certainly might sound challenging at first, but then you find out just how amazing cylinders are!

A shape with no corners, means a shape with no weak points! Perfect for holding up our box!📦️

If your child asks you what an A.I. is, what would you tell them?

A.I. is constantly evolving and who knows what it'll be capable of in the future! That's why we should all do our best to understand it now so that when the time comes, we'll be prepared.

I'm sure plenty of teachers share the same woes as us. We all want kids to have fun and be engaged. Unfortunate for us, getting messy is definitely fun for them. And to be fair, the same goes for us too!

Cleaning up, maybe not so much.

Now, maybe sorting coloured balls isn't the most pressing issue out there. But it's amazing what pupils can do when with just a kit of #LEGO and a challenge in front of them.

Amazing job from the students @TCOLC_News @TCOLCScience

[Aveea @aveea_org]

You've got to love the enthusiasm from pupils to get straight into working with things they're seeing for the first time. Every second that passes is an opportunity to learn something new after all.

Coding is fascinating, but it can get a bit boring at times when all you get to do at first is stare at lines of code. We'd all rather see something move, and that's why at #AveeaAcademy we brought out the Lego Spike Kits to really breathe some life into our code!

[Aveea @aveea_org]

The Egg Drop has been explored in thousands of ways at this point, but here we're focusing on the idea of crumple zones!
Crumple zones are designed to take most of the impact and we can see this everyday in cars.

Well, we don't see car crashes everyday, but still!

[Aveea @aveea_org]

Accuracy and precision may be important, but how do we achieve the level of precision needed in some designs?

We all make mistakes, we're human after all. But you know what makes less mistakes? Computers! And that's why we're learning about CAD and CAM at #AveeaAcademy
