Nothing's more satisfying for us than validating our own hard work with our own hands! Our pupils put their all in building the best defences and then try their hardest to knock it down. They could just miss on purpose, but what's the fun in that! #AveeaAcademy #Aveea #STEM

We’ve commissioned #AveeaAcademy pupils to build us some trains! Now as part of our contract, they simply need to follow our specifications of: train width, passenger capacity, cost, colour, function… sure sounds tough to meet all these requirements, doesn’t it? #Aveea #STEM

A wrecking ball, or you can simply think of it as a massive pendulum. Newton's cradle, wrecking ball, pfft, basically the same thing. Let's just ignore that one of those might be a tad more destructive. But what they do both have is great lessons in kinetic energy! #Aveea #STEM

We love experimenting with water, especially unfiltered water. We’re quite fortunate to have water on tap, but some places aren’t so it’s down to STEM leaders to figure that out and look at ways to change this. 🚰 #Aveea #AveeaAcademy #STEM

Welcome to #3Dprinting, our first had to be a surgical mask strap, a strap to hook your masks on. It relieves pressure off your ears and gives those with smaller heads a much better fit. Our pupils will be designing their own models at #AveeaAcademy very soon. #STEM #Aveea

The Year 4 pupils @MarylandPrimary put their Scratch skills to the test last week with our #Sphero Bolt sessions. Some very interesting programmes, one group even managed to make robot noises! #STEM #Aveea #Technology

For those of you who haven't tried this yet, it's a must. 9volt battery and a little bit of metal, a process called electrolysis. The pupils at Aveea Academy @Woodland_Grange etched some incredible designs. #stem #science #aveea #electrolysis
