If he continues to perform at this level the rest of the year, he can easily get 15-20M on a multi year deal. 31 year old Luis Severino got 22M over 3 years. Plenty of other examples.

This feels like one of those humbling games - where we fully understand where we stand in terms of talent and tier in the NL.

Coming off a poor offensive performance against Milwaukee where it never felt like we would make it a game -

This one has the same feeling after 2 innings - and ultimately feels like King will just make the night long for Cardinals Hitters.

Good pitching will always beat a good lineup - it's why no matter how fun this season is and might be - the types of moves that would be needed to make us a real contender are too monumental for this FO to make right now - tho I hope they adjust their mindset this winter o. Terms of what they can/should do with this roster and timeline.

My only hope for this series is to not fly out of SD with that familiar gut feeling of knowing there's no taking that one back. Every crash has its day -

Coming into this series - it felt Erie - I didn't have the confidence- I felt nervous - I felt like I wish we didn't have to play them right now.
