“Partnership is Power” - We want to recognise the courage & leadership of Beth Brown & @AfsanaSalik on this pioneering cultural exchange between @CitizensUK & @NHSBartsHealth. #HEAL wouldn’t be possible with the openness of Directors @NHSBartsHealth & support @Barts_Charity
A pleasure and privilege to join Youth Synod for Barking & the west of @chelmsdio today. Thanks to all at St Barnabas, Walthamstow for hosting us, and to all our young people for their engagement, inspiration and challenge.
Thanks to @Pennybernstock2@UEL_News, Angus Ritchie & Rachel Humphris @QMUL for their action-provoking presentations, challenging us to deepen institutional & #leadership development.
Great to reflect with this amazing team on our away day last week. Excited to hear progress & positive reactions to our work on congregational development, #Housing & Employment Inclusion Zone on the Olympic Park & HEAL (Health Equity Action Leadership) campaigns #health@QMUL
If social care didn’t exist, the wider economy will suffer. The sector supports many more jobs indirectly through supply chains and local economies.

Social care provides independence, dignity, improved mental and physical well-being for millions of elderly and people who have a disability. The ROI for £1 invested in social care in England, is £2.36 in socioeconomic benefits. #ValueSocialCare#ProvidersUnite#StrongerTogether
I am just a GP wondering why there is no acute respiratory hub?
Our entire capacity today was taken up with respiratory infections within minutes. Minutes!
Meanwhile we have unemployed GPs who would love to see patients.
This is a horrendous situation and disturbing thread to read. My thoughts with Jane, Cat and her family.
Sadly other than potential legal action it's very tough to know what can be done. It is possible to try to raise emergency situation with Ombudsman but that's unlikely to resolve much at the speed needed.
Hopefully the publicity a situation like this can and should get will put pressure on the insurer to review its decision.
1. I don’t often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital.
Here's Jane & me in happier times.
25. I'd be grateful if my followers / contacts in the areas of journalism, capacity law and disability rights could please re-tweet.
[P.s if you've been in contact with me professionally over the past few weeks, this is the reason for my out of office. Thanks ❤️]
