“Here’s how I’m going to beat you:
I’m going to outwork you.

That’s it. That’s all there is to it. You just learned my most valuable secret. It’s not that exciting. There’s no great intangible quality to success. It’s a matter of putting your back into it.”

— Pat Summitt

When something bad happens, where does your mind go?

If you want to be more resilient, just focus on taking the next step to the very best of your ability.

We get down when we think about the past, and we get anxious when we think about the future.

Stay focused on the present.

A sign of a mentally tough person is how well they respond to mistakes.

Mistakes are inevitable, but you don’t have to blame, complain, or defend.

When you make a mistake, admit to it, learn from, and work harder.

Respond to mistakes by showing how tough you are.

[Steven Terry @CoachSteveTerry]

Accountability is kind.

There are 2 types of players:

Players who do it right every time and players who do it right sometimes.

Every time players beat sometimes players, every time.

Give your best, every time.
Call for the ball, every time.
Touch the line, every time.

Be an every time player.
