Ohio politicians made it a crime for government employees to tell you how your tax dollars are being spent. And they hid it in the budget bill.
This is called a
moral turpitude.
A phrase that describes wicked, deviant behavior constituting an immoral, unethical, or unjust departure from ordinary social standards such that it would shock a community.

In criminal law, the law sorts criminal activity into categories of crime either involving or not involving moral turpitude.

There's a law called Ohio's Public Records Act. It says you as a citizen have the right to see what your government is doing with public money. Economic development deals, tax breaks, who got what and why. That's been the law for decades.

In June 2025, they passed a giant budget bill — House Bill 96. Over a thousand pages. And buried inside it, in a section called R.C. 9.66(D), they quietly made ALL economic development records, applications, contracts, who got incentives, how much, completely confidential. Off limits. Not public.

And here's the part that should make you mad. It doesn't just seal the records, it makes it a criminal offense for a government employee to even EXPLAIN an economic development application to you or a reporter. Your city council member could face criminal charges for answering your questions.

Who passed it? The primary sponsor was Republican Rep. Brian Stewart. The Senate conference committee, the people who put the final version together, included Senators Andrew Brenner, Jerry Cirino, Theresa Gavarone, Terry Johnson, George Lang, Kristina Roegner, and Mark Romanchuk.

This isn't abstract. If a company gets a giant tax break to come to your town, you can't know who they are, what they promised, or if they kept their word. And if a government employee tells you? They could be prosecuted. That's not protecting business. That's protecting corruption.

Here's what you do right now.

3/ Safeguard Ohio: America's first AI suspicious activity system. Citizens upload video, audio, photos. An AI chatbot conducts the intake interview. Everything routes to the Statewide Terrorism Analysis and Crime Center.

4/ Flock Safety license plate readers across 24+ communities and 37 state highway patrol units. Cross-jurisdiction shared database. Deployed at schools.

5/ Autonomous drone fleets. Columbus PD RAVEN launches drones from patrol cars. Ohio State University launches drones from rooftops. Hamilton County fields 16 drones.

6/ Anduril Arsenal-1: a $1 billion, 5 million square foot autonomous weapons factory near Columbus producing AI-powered drones at industrial scale.
None of this is regulated by state law. Not one piece of it.

Now follow the money.

Peter Thiel built Palantir into the world's dominant surveillance data company. He funded JD Vance's Senate campaign. Vance sat on the InnovateOhio board advocating mandatory digital IDs for all Ohioans.

Vivek Ramaswamy is running for Ohio governor. His backers: Thiel, Vance, Joe Lonsdale, Howard Lutnick.
Leslie Wexner, Jeffrey Epstein's primary financial patron, constructed New Albany, Ohio as a private technocratic enclave built on tax incentives.

JobsOhio operates as a private corporation with $1.4 billion in taxpayer funds and no public transparency requirements.

The architecture scales in one direction: local capture (New Albany tax deals), state capture (JobsOhio, InnovateOhio), federal capture (Vance as VP, DOGE), international export.

Ohio is not an outlier. Ohio is the template for every state in America.

It requires 10 gigawatts (GW) of power and a new $33 billion dollar natural gas plant, and run by multiple generations of AI hardware (undisclosed).

'SoftBank-backed SB Energy is deploying a fleet of gas turbines. These turbines will not be concentrated at a single site, but distributed across the region.'

There is speculation whether this is part of the Stargate Project; $500 billion investment to build AI infrastructure for OpenAI.
