@NanaBiney5 @swimthighwear @MattWallace888 Anything can happen during any minute of a flight. Phones distract and if it is dark, it takes a while for eyes to adjust to surroundings. Cabin crew need passengers who are alert and focused to follow instructions.

@swimthighwear @MattWallace888 Passengers are told not to use their phones so that their eyes get used to seeing in the dark and if an emergency happens they are already alert and can easily see their way in the dark. Phones do not interfere with aircraft systems.
