Commendable declaration on Greenland by Ireland’s Foreign Minister, Helen McEntee, T.D. Ireland & a host of nations worldwide did not struggle to achieve independent statehood only for a world order comporting conquest, subjugation & exploitation to be enshrined for 21st century.

Marvelous performances this evening at Ireland’s National Concert Hall @NCH_Music. Barry Douglas (piano), Darren Moore (trumpet) & National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland excelled with Shostakovich’s Concerto No.1. Works by Boulanger & Rimsky-Korsakov rounded out superb programme

On International Students’ Day 17 November, @EU_Eurostat posted: Ireland has the highest rate in Europe of 25-34 year olds with a third level education. See map. What an achievement built over our 50+ year membership of EC/ EU. Missed mention of this in Ireland’s mainstream media

A joy, with Kieran Tobin of @camerataireland, to have attended this weekend a superb recital at Kylemore Abbey in Connemara, in aid of the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition. Soprano Kelli-Ann Masterson, Tenor Conor Prendiville and Dearbhla Collins on piano. Bravos!
