Delhi High Court slams Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) for issuing a show cause notice to Vinesh Phogat, stating that she caused "national shame" by being disqualified from the Paris Olympics before her gold medal match.

"What you have stated in the show cause cannot stand even for a second... You are saying the country was ashamed. Was that the mood of the country at that time? Country was ashamed?" the Court says.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) distanced itself from the WFI's statement.
