Anyone with even a basic understanding of modern warfare knows that setting a time frame for military operations of this nature is a major mistake.
I am fairly certain that this new war will be anything but short, not least because the targets will include energy and civilian infrastructure throughout the region, and both the U.S. and Iran have been preparing for months.

Compared to the previous travel advisory update, there are several concrete differences, most notably, it now states that "the risk of sudden escalation is high."
Furthermore, while the previous update described the situation as "unpredictable," it has now been changed to "DEEPLY unpredictable," implying that everything could shift at any moment.
Another significant change is the complete removal of any reference to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the U.S. and Iran on June 17th, as if the agreement were now entirely null and void.
