You don’t want fame, you want respect.
Respect comes from living up to their standards.
You don’t want respect, you want self-respect.
Self-respect comes from living up to your own standards.
The same standards that you apply to other people.
More and more people are getting Nvidia now and if you are the only few who still think it's a hardware chip company, watch this. The best 90 seconds one could spend. $NVDA
When @Windows has ChatGPT co-pilot built in, that will provide three huge advantages over all other AI models:
1. reach: they instantly have all Windows users on-boarded.
2. data: they will be tracking every website, email, keystroke, YouTube video, zoom call, etc. we make to inform their co-pilot
3. interception: @microsoft's co-pilot will be able to interject and do clippy-like things: "I see you've started a Google sheet called 'bonus program,' would you like me to pull the data from the email thread 'bonus discussion' from Slack and Outlook and insert it here?"
If executed well, @satyanadella could win the entire consumer and business market and make it unnecessary to take the time to open ChatGPT, Claud, etc.
Now, ChatGPT, Claud, and others can fight back based on their interface, but I am concerned about $MSFT having the ability to sweep the table because of the operating system.
Google has a similar advantage with YouTube, Google, Android, GMAIL, GPhotos, News, search, search Images, and Docs... they too can "intercept" you when doing a search and push you into an AI experience.
Apple is the unknown in all of this... would be wise for them to buy Claud or another LLM right now, or start a serious effort.
The way that Jensen Huang runs Nvidia is wild:
40 direct reports, no 1:1s
- Believes that the flattest org is the most empowering one, and that starts with the top layer
- Does not conduct 1:1s - everything happens in a group setting
- Does not give career advice - "None of my management team is coming to me for career advice - they already made it, they're doing great"
No status reports, instead he "stochastically samples the system"
- Doesn't use status updates because he believes they are too refined by the time they get to him. They are not ground truth anymore.
- Instead, anyone in the company can email him their "top five things" with whatever is top of mind, and he will read it
- Estimates he reads 100 of these everyone morning
Everyone has all the context, all the time
- No meetings with just VPs or just Directors - anyone can join and contribute
- "If you have a strategic direction, why tell just one person?"
- "If there is something I don't like, I just say it publicly"
- "I do a lot of reasoning out loud"
No formal planning cycles
- No 5 year plan, no 1 year plan
- Always re-evaluating based on changing business and market conditions (helpful when AI is developing at the pace that it is)
This org is optimized for (1) attracting amazing people, (2) keeping the team as small as it can be, and (3) allowing information to travel as quickly as possible
How to get & stay lean effortlessly:
1. adopt an active lifestyle
2. follow the 90/10 rule
3. eat 2.5 meals a day
4. make every meal protein forward
5. weight train like a minimalist
6. optimize circadian rhythm
7. proper sun & blue light exposure

They say to go on a walk and take meetings, but it’s a bit difficult when I need to use my computer while in the meeting (eg. Share screen, take notes, etc)
Calm is universal.
You can be calm and angry, calm and sad, calm and focused, calm and chaotic, calm and overwhelmed, or calm and ready to conquer the world.
Being calm doesn’t mean you are lazy or docile. It is the supreme state of mind where you can manage all other emotions.
If you feel stressed out at any time, any stressor - could be emotion, cold, heat, anything - your wife, or your kids or your man or the building is collapsing...Just BREATHE and there is no stress.
Play long-term games with long-term people. All returns in life, whether in wealth, relationships, or knowledge, come from compound interest.
