Not tweeted for a while but feel compelled to applaud our Medics, Vets and Screen Team at Chelmsford City who did a magnificent job under difficult circumstances last night. Their response time to the incident was measured in seconds.

Saturdays meeting has also been abandoned despite the best efforts of the team. The snow and moisture that we had to work into the track is not going to break down with the forecast temperatures (-5 (windchill -12) overnight and no better than -2 during the day tomorrow.

Racing abandoned today at Chelmsford. Moisture from a slight thaw caused the track to freeze in places with no guarantee of temps today. Forecast -4 (-9 windchill) by 1st race time. We will continue to work on the track today. Inspection to be announced re Saturday.

Chelmsford will be inspecting tomorrow at 8.00am for Friday evenings card. The track has a 3-4cm covering of snow and overnight temps are -4 to -5 with daytime temps not getting above -1

Just received a notification from RP App. Still plenty of action to come this evening, most notably from Newmarket, Thirsk and The Curragh. If anyone is interested we race at Chelmsford this evening too with two Class 2 and two Class 3 races on the card !!!!!!
