I'm not wrong though and to your credit neither are you. Two things can be true at the same time. There was one particular attack historians believe started the civil war. Which was an ambush of Jewish buses. However when you dig deeper it wasn't just the vote that caused the attack, it was a retaliation. While the vote that took place was a big reason. to say that was the only reason is being willfully ignorant of history.

Think of it as their Fort Sumpter. Yeah that's what historians say sparked the American civil war but what was the build up to that moment? All I'm saying is look into what caused it to escalate rather than looking at one particular event.
