We're sad to have to share such a harrowing story of institutional racism in Scottish education, but we're doing this to prompt positive change!

Racism in education should be treated as a safeguarding issue, with anti-racist policies in all schools & training for staff, according to a new book by @jeffreykboakye. He says social justice issues should be seen as key performance indicators in schools. https://t.co/N2mpXOyyyA

Kwaku spent the day at @LibertonHS inviting young people to our Anti-Racist Lunchtime Club!
“I was really pleased to see pupils especially from S1-3 signing up to tackle the issue of racism.”
Thank you to all those who signed up and Kwaku,
Let’s keep the movement going!
Hey lovelies, today is #mybirthday and so to celebrate the gratitude and blessings I feel, I’d like to do a #giveaway and spread some of the joy I’m feeling. I’m offering a #school a small pack of beautiful #inclusivebooks. To enter please follow and RT.
The racism we’re experiencing now is more subtle but still as dangerous. To tackle it would mean genuine commitment & funding .Political policy still refuses 2 go far enough & as a result racism continues 2 be embedded in our Scottish institutions as it always has been.
Important article. The soul & spirit of anti racist education in Scottish schools is also sadly still lacking.Teachers continue 2 lack support teaching about racism. The understanding of race, migration & empire is central 2 pupils understanding of the Britain we live in today.
Really looking forward to this event on Thursday with @rowenaarshad @khadijamohamme8 @MlinaValdelivr1
Only a few spaces left if you want to sign up.

As part of our school's work towards becoming an anti-racist institution we have created a resource bank relating to racism and education in the UK.
We'd like to share it in case it may be of use to others working towards this too. @SandringhamE7
