The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
I wrote down exactly who I want to be and what I want my life to look like. then I asked what does he do. how does he start his day. what does he eat. when does he sleep. how does he handle the hard conversations. what does his work look like. I wrote all of it down. then I just started doing it. you don't have to feel like him first. you act like him until you are him.
-get jacked
-crush it at work
-marry an honest woman (with a good body)
-treat her amazing
-travel the world
-watch good movies
-avoid complainers
-prioritize your health
-call your friends for no reason
-be a hot strong dad
-host banger dinner parties
-and if you’re ever feeling down remember you’re spinning on a sphere in an infinite universe and the fact you’re alive is a 1 in 500 trillion miracle - you’re so lucky it’s absurd and you have nothing to lose :)
Pessimism is for losers. It’s a total disaster for your mind and your life, believe me. You cannot afford to be negative, not even for a single second. When you sit around whining and complaining, you are just bleeding energy and looking incredibly weak.
Look around you. You woke up today, didn't you? That is a total miracle right there, but most people are too blind to see it. Being alive is absolutely fascinating, it's incredible, but you have to actually open your eyes and appreciate everything. Stop talking about other people, stop the pathetic gossip, and stop wasting your time.
You need to do what you love most and you need to make things real immediately. No excuses. Be enthusiastic, bring massive energy to everything you do, and stay viciously optimistic no matter what. Anything else is just complete and total madness.
You need to be slowmaxxing. You need to be reading long, fat books. You need to be making 48-hour chocolate chip cookies. You need to spend hours watching wildlife, you need to spend 15+ min making your coffee. You need to breathe in and breathe out. You need to be slowwwwwwwwww.
One of my fav Jeff Bezos quotes:
"Stress does not come from hardwork. Stress primarily comes from not taking action over something that you can have some control over."
Matthew McConaughey shares the best breakup advice his mom ever gave him
“I remember breakups, heartbroken. She'd let us mourn. She was a great ear, very sensitive ear to pains like that, broken hearts”
“But only for a day. After a day, she'd crank up the AC/DC man and go like, ‘Now, get up. You're worth it. Her loss. Come on. Get out of bed’”
“Quit moping. Lift your head up. Come on buddy. We got this. Her loss”
“She’d give you the day. No more than that”
i know it sounds kinda stupid. but regardless of how simple it is you have to embody being a delusional optimist. you’ll open unexpected new doors and effortlessly 10x your quality of life. there’s no reason to be a self sabotaging pessimist.
