It is NOT a legitimate question in a democracy to ask the opposition why they are asking for a parliamentary probe if the govt will just adjourn parliament in response. It would be a legitimate question to ask the government why they adjourn parliament over probe demands.

As a son of a former faculty, this does not surprise me one bit. This has been the state of the place ever since Mr. B cracked the whip and effectively told faculty and students that he practically can take any decision and they can do naff all.
Given how quickly the cycle of violence spirals out of control, it is mind boggling what Gandhi did after Chauri Chaura. What an exceptional leader that one appreciates more with time.
