@Tribal_Prophet@EvelDick Sure, he’s more conservative than most Dems, but an assertion that he’ll do whatever Trump’s people want is a bit strong. He has, after all, caucused with the Dems for his entire time in the Senate.
@tedcruz@NEWSMAX What happened to Republicans who believe in allowing people and private businesses to make their own decisions? Why does DirecTV have to answer to a United States senator?
@tedcruz Not if you happen to be the chief executive and you agreed to let them come in. Don’t you believe in the unitary executive like many conservatives? Or do you only believe in it if there’s a Republican in office?
@timruss2 While the Freedom Caucus’s motives are no good, I am delighted that they are denying Mr. McCarthy the speakership. Not only did he support Mr. Trump at every turn, but after Jan. 6, he proved himself to be a traitor when he went to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the president’s ring.
@zfthinker@pgold1230@RightWingWatch It was true back then but not anymore. Until the due process clause of the 14th amendment, the bill of rights restricted federal rather than state power.
@SRabidou@Pontifex He sent the tweet about the Nativity on Jan. 7 because several eastern communities still follow the Julian calendar. Our Jan. 7 is their Dec. 25. He wasn’t trying to leave Protestants out; it just doesn’t apply to them because they are on the Gregorian calendar.

@CritMarsh @timruss2 In my opinion, it was perfectly natural for me to ask for support for a claim. I didn’t make the claim, so I shouldn’t be the one to provide research for it.
In any case, my reaction was based more on the way you provided your advice than on your content.
