How many more people would cycle if your city’s streets were this inviting?
How many would leave their cars at home if their choice was made this easy?
Don't design streets that make the 5% already biking marginally safer. Build them to entice the other 95% back on their bikes.
In a scathing editorial, the @globeandmail compares the swift reaction to airline deaths to the lack of action for the slower but just as deadly rate of pedestrian fatalities in Toronto. #walkTO

I’ve used an app that detects % male vs female voices speaking in meetings. I put it out on the table at faculty meeting. Generally 80% of the time men were speaking. (Much of the rest was me speaking on principle to break up the solid 100%) It’s real life, not just a script.
What doctors are doing is called dialogue and advocacy, and it’s part of free speech. To try to report this as professional misconduct is laughable and is anti free speech, which is ironic, because gun crowd will play the free speech card at the drop of a hat on a host of issues.
Powerful evidence-based testimony from @najmadoc (the ER doc from the Danforth shooting) citing Canada’s gun homicide rate at 8x that of Australia, Japan, UK & Netherlands, and @SickKidsNews study showing an average of one child is harmed by a firearm every day in Ontario. #SenCA
