In the UK Parliament, the 24th anniversary of the martyrdom of Ahmad Shah Massoud, National Hero of Afghanistan, was solemnly commemorated. The gathering—hosted by Wendy Chamberlain MP @wendychambLD and Ahmad Shah Massoud Foundation @HadiSharify.
The event moderated by Dr Mujib Rahman Rahimi, featured contributions from Hadi Sharifi (on behalf of the Foundation); Wendy Chamberlain MP (@wendychambLD); Fawzia Koofi (@Fawziakoofi77); Carlotta Gall (@carlottagall); Rahmatullah Yarmal (@RYarmal); Retired Major-General Charlie Herbert (@Charlie533080); Lynne O’Donnell (@lynnekodonnel); and Abdullah Khenjani (@AbdullahAzada).

Speakers, in their remarks, stated that Ahmad Shah Massoud’s historic leadership in Afghanistan’s struggle against Soviet occupation and international terrorism embodies the principles of courage, vision, and steadfast commitment to democracy. They stated that Massoud stood for an independent, free, and prosperous Afghanistan—one in which all ethnicities, communities and men and women enjoy equal rights and full participation in government and political life. In their remarks, the speakers highlighted his advocacy of a moderate interpretation of Islam, his rejection of extremism, and his unwavering belief in freedom, and the will of the people—principles for which he was assassinated by al-Qaeda with Taliban complicity.

In their remarks addressing the current situation, speakers condemned the Taliban’s inhumane and discriminatory policies across multiple sectors, particularly those targeting Afghanistan's women, and welcomed the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for the Taliban leader as a vital step toward accountability. They affirmed that the UK government must not recognise or legitimise the Taliban regime under any pretext. The speakers reaffirmed the imperative of Afghanistan’s liberation from terrorism and the establishment of an inclusive, democratic system—rooted in the will of the people and representative of all ethnic and political communities.

امروز، ۱۰ سپتامبر ۲۰۲۵، مراسم باشکوهی به مناسبت «هفته شهید» و بیست‌وچهارمین سالروز شهادت قهرمان ملی کشور، احمدشاه مسعود، در سفارت افغانستان در تاجیکستان برگزار گردید.

این محفل با حضور دگرجنرال محمدظاهر اغبر، سفیر و نماینده سیاسی مردم افغانستان، شخصیت‌های فرهنگی، نخبگان مدنی، بیش از پنجصد تن از هموطنان مقیم تاجیکستان و شماری از مقام‌های پیشین جمهوری اسلامی افغانستان برگزار شد.

آقای اغبر در سخنان خویش، احمدشاه مسعود را نماد ایستادگی، خردمندی و مکتب مقاومت دانست و افزود: «مسعود تنها یک فرمانده نظامی نبود، بلکه مکتبی از اندیشه، ایثار و خدمت به مردم بود که برای آزادی، عزت و وحدت افغانستان جان خویش را فدا ساخت.»

در ادامه برنامه، شماری از مقام‌های پیشین و شخصیت‌های فرهنگی به سخنرانی پرداختند؛ از جمله آقای عثمانی، وزیر پیشین آب و برق، آقای معنوی، وزیر پیشین عدلیه، آقای مسیر، معاون پیشین صدراعظم، خانم آسیه، اتشه معارف، آقای محسنی، وکیل پیشین پارلمان، و انجنیر کمال، والی اسبق پنجشیر. آنان در سخنان خود مقام والای قهرمان ملی احمدشاه مسعود و سایر شهدای افغانستان را ستودند و بر پاسداری از راه آنان تأکید ورزیدند.

این مراسم با گل‌گذاری و ادای احترام به ارواح شهدا به پایان رسید و بار دیگر پیام وحدت، همبستگی و پاسداری از آرمان‌های شهیدان در میان حاضران طنین‌انداز گردید.

بنیاد شهید احمدشاه مسعود از مناسبت «هشتم مارچ، روز جهانی زن» تجلیل به عمل آورد. 

محفلی که به این مناسبت با شعارهای «آپارتاید جنسیتی را محکوم می‌کنیم» و «زن افغانستان را از اسارت نجات بخشید» در شهر دوشنبه، پایتخت تاجیکستان برگزار شده بود، شمار زیادی از فعالان حقوق زن، حقوق بشر، شورای بانوان و همچنان شخصیت‌های سیاسی به خصوص احمدولی مسعود، رئیس عمومی بنیاد شهید مسعود به گونه حضور و مجازی از چندین کشور اشتراک داشتند.  

هر کدام از مهمان‌ها پیرامون اهمیت مناسبت روز جهانی زن، ستمگری طالبان علیه زنان و ضرورت اتخاذ راه‌های موثر در دفاع از حقوق زنان و دختران صحبت کردند که گزارش مفصل آن بعداً از این دریچه در خدمت مخاطبان عزیز قرار می‌گیرد.
