With her story 'Five Years Next Sunday', Idza Luhumyo wins the 2022 AKO Caine Prize for African Writing!

The 5th Kenyan Writer to win this prize, with her story about a young woman able to call rain with her hair.

This story will be published in the forthcoming 2022 anthology!

•A synopsis of the proposed work and information on the genre
•A brief letter of motivation in Kiswahili.

•The workshop is open to any writers writing in Kiswahili, or translating from any other language into Kiswahili.
•The workshop is open to writers residing in EA. Those living outside of East Africa are welcome to apply if they will cater for their own transport.
