There’s something seriously wrong when working full-time and living responsibly still leaves you with nothing at the end of the month.

You work 40 hours a week. You cook at home. You cancel subscriptions. You don’t go on expensive holidays. You keep the same car for years. You avoid unnecessary spending.

And somehow your bank account still looks like you’ve been out every weekend living like a millionaire.

Food costs more. Rent costs more. Insurance costs more. Energy costs more. Council tax costs more. Petrol costs more. Even the most basic weekly shop can somehow turn into a ridiculous amount of money.

And then someone inevitably says:

“Just budget better.”

People ARE budgeting.

The problem is that the price of simply existing keeps taking a bigger percentage of their income.

Most people aren’t asking for luxury.

They want to work, pay their bills, enjoy the occasional meal out, have a few hobbies, maybe go on holiday once a year and still have some money left in their account.

That used to sound like a completely normal life.

Now, for millions of people, it feels like an ambitious financial goal.

🚨 BREAKING: UEFA has sent a 60-page discovery claim to the United States District Southern Court in Florida as it prepares to take criminal action against Gianni Infantino in Switzerland.

The petition, seen by @talkSPORT, asks for authorisation for subpoenas for two US-based departments, FIFA Americas and the 2026 World Cup, in order to gain "the production of documents and communications" as UEFA compiles a case against Infantino.

There are documented instances of Manchester United sending out emails containing names and Supporter IDs to completely unrelated recipients, something that has personally happened to both my daughter and me in the past.

Beyond being a clear breach of data protection law (UK GDPR) that the club has been repeatedly warned about, it exposes a serious vulnerability. What is the true scale of these leaks, and how many unauthorised individuals hold the exact account details needed to facilitate unauthorised access to other people's tickets?

In their latest suspension letters to supporters, the club stated:

"allowing another person unrestricted access to an account, creates significant security and ticketing risks"

If the club is genuinely concerned about account security, why has it consistently failed to fix the glaring vulnerabilities in its own systems that enable unauthorised ticket acquisition in the first place? Why have Seatgeek failed to respond after the flaw was raised with them? This loophole is clearly known to the club, as documented evidence shows the Ticket Office having to manually alter supporters' personal details just to prevent it from happening to those supporters again.

Anyone who legitimately has done nothing wrong and is facing a suspension or sanction for alleged ticket misuse this season needs to rigorously challenge the entire disciplinary process. Penalising supporters for security risks while the club leaves its own systemic data flaws unaddressed is fundamentally hypocritical.

The Club can't have it both ways.

The dumbest thing I did was be a 'good boy' for my entire working life: work hard and pay my taxes. 45 years of being systematically and arbitrarily robbed by criminals, some wearing blue ties, some wearing red, and even some sporting a splash of yellow.

I now struggle to pay my bills in retirement and I am still being fleeced via tax by the same clowns.

Meanwhile, these crooks choose to send cash abroad, squander it on insane initiatives such as 'net zero' and DEI, pay themselves tidy expenses, fund wars, and welcome with open arms anyone illegally entering the country, people they are happy to spend billions of pounds on whilst simultaneously making those of us who paid a fair whack into the system, struggle.

People often ask me why I don't vote any more ... and I think it should be fairly obvious. None of these 'senior politicians', across all parties, have any interest in the wellbeing of the common man or woman. They are only interested in their own self-promotion and pressing ahead with whatever harebrained agendas they support whilst in power.

It's only the window dressing that changes ... what awaits in the shop is always the same bullshit that shafts the good, honest folk of this country.

What is interesting about the SAFF statement is it says they support Gianni Infantino "at this time".

My understanding is this backing comes from outgoing President Yasser Al-Misehal and the old board.

Incoming President Badr Al-Raziza did not input directly to this statement and is yet to take a stance.

That's not to say Al-Raziza won't eventually endorse this carefully worded statement, but discussions will continue next week and beyond.

Infantino plans to lobby Saudi further in September.
