Chinese scientists successfully conducted the world's first fine-tuning task of a billion-parameter AI model on China's independently developed 72-qubit third-generation superconducting quantum computer Origin Wukong, said Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center on Monday.

The experiment demonstrated an 8.4% improvement in effectiveness despite a 76% reduction in parameters, validating the feasibility of using quantum computing for lightweighting of AI large models.
