Axis NDT have been carrying out NDT inspections to super heater repairs and new tube inserts over the last 2 weeks. In the confined spaces, Phased Array was a great solution and gave 100% volumetric inspection.

Another picture of the Olympus X3 put on site with us a few weeks back. Small bore piping is something that conventional UT usually struggles with. Utilising Phased Array, small footprint probes and a wide range of angles, we can gain accurate, repeatable results. #AxisNDT #NDT

Another busy week for Axis NDT. We have ended the week with a coupe of last minute call outs where we were able to mobilise within 30 minutes. Jobs complete and this is the view as we’re ready to travel home

It’s been a busy couple of weeks here at Axis NDT. We have had teams out on planned outages across the UK. During the outages the work scope was increased and additional manpower was required to keep the project on track. Axis NDT can assist 24/7 nationwide.

A nice row of boiler tubes ready for on-site X-Ray inspection. Axis NDT can carry out on-site radiography with site film development. This enables us to leave the radiographs on site at the end of the shift, job done. No need for return visits and additional costs.

This is a 70mm thick vessel we have inspected using Phased Array in accordance to PD 5500. All inspection plans, procedures, technique sheets, setups, calibrations and reports are code compliant and completed in-house. Contact the team to see how we can help with your projects.

Throw back to some 100mm thick fabricated H beams made for new road bridges. The butt welds were 100% Phased Array Inspected with a small number of defects found. These areas were air-arc gouged and repaired. All welds were acceptable after inspection

Axis NDT supporting one of our clients at an Energy from Waste plant. This was a disimilar weld that required inspection. The weld was tested again after repair and was found to be acceptable to specification #NDT #Quality #Safety

Throw back to 2011 when our MD Jonathon Hayward ran PAUT and TOFD simultaneously on a new build gas project. The project was a success and resulted in Jonathon returning for future projects as they were released. The most recent visits being 2019 #Axisndt #paut #tofd

Axis NDT's mobile darkroom means that we can develop our film on site and do not have to 'run' film back to base for development. This removes the risk of re-shoots and holding up your project. When we leave site, we leave your radiographs and reports with you, job done!
