@contextconor@DanielleFong People not in tech seem jealous. For me, so much more variety, energy, culture, and diversity in nyc. Also wrt clothing, I am not a suit-person, but the west coast dress code is so boring to me.
@contextconor@DanielleFong Berlin Seattle Portland sf nyc Seattle nyc here.
Used to love living in SF, Lower Height and Portrero Hill. Not anymore, but Ok for visits. 20+ yrs in nyc.
SF feels so mono-cultured to me now, two class system, either you are in tech or you are nobody.
@mlajtos_mu@liquidizer GPS compare is interesting… for overview and to check the suggested route i always do north up, for navigation i use turtle POV. it feels to me the trial and error navigation of the past made me learn more about the city I was in. AI seems different, seems to broaden context…
@mlajtos_mu nice compliment, but undeserved. not focused at exploring via simulation or scripting at the moment. right now it is more about manipulating 2D space and place in a messy way with pen and fingers :-)
@mlajtos_mu this runs on Swift. ipad and mac. :-) true, i have done this for awhile, got distracted by life and then restarted some time ago. early papers: https://t.co/RVjyh0fkZ6 and https://t.co/JphhMo6B2H
there is a video of the very old system running in smalltalk somewhere..
@steveruizok I posted the images because you were asking about odd appearance at start and end of a stroke, and I seldom see that. i think the hairline strokes at some ends are my light/fast touch at end of character moving on to next.
@steveruizok i have unusual UI for creating, shifting & collapsing space and content. i am more focused on that. once ink beauty, when zoomed in, becomes important to me, I will ask some LLM to make it better. (some ink in apps look “cold” to me, i don’t want to loose some “roughness”)
