#AlfaRomeo sufferer, thoro’bred petrolhead and former Yorkshireman (@dwonderwall). Living with the practicalities and possession of a 1973 GTV & 2019 Giulia Ti.
Anyone in Coventry looking to start their own car company might wanna bid on this lot – its more than just a few band saws and belt sanders! https://t.co/mU31hkcVdL
Nearly finished 🤩 And the finish its always deserved! Crisp clean lines, panel gaps tight and paint so fresh even your reflection can smell it. Reassembly underway with just the last bits to button up and bolt back on #alfaromeo#gtv2000#classiccarresto#classiccarsculture
@JonShenanigans *Who I bore on every drive with my knowledge of Britain’s road system. Her (well, my) favourite facts are why roads are numbered the way they are (that must be worth an episode surely?) and why the A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 form the hands of a clock around London https://t.co/XTumKgChed
@JonShenanigans This. Is. Brilliant. Thank you! I can't wait to tell my missus* I now know why that section of the M25 (which she HATES) is so fcuking noisy! In other news, I've wasted my entire afternoon on your channel and LOVE it. I'm now subscribed (and have an afternoon work to catch up on)
7 years on… And I still look back at it every time I park it. That (and mentions of the #AlfaRomeo Giulia on Britain’s No.1 motoring podcast) must mean future classic status is surely guaranteed. Perhaps just a little more depreciation first…

Collection day: With some trepidation my new #AlfaRomeo makes its way out into the world… Sadly none of the aural drama of a full-blown Giulia Quadrifoglio but the economy round town will be better! (Apologies in advance for stopping in the bike box there, but its busy up West)
Not just any old #Rover 200, but a last of the line SD3 from 1989 in period beige. Successor to the Acclaim, badged as a Rover rather than a Triumph signalled the end for the brand in Britain (and controversial as the Rover brand had long been associated with large exec motors).
Nostalgy algae: This 1993 #Rover 214 Si is literally wasting away on the driveway (and has been sat here since I moved into the neighbourhood). I worry its ‘Spec-D’ classification isn’t far off…
This week’s chod spot comes to you from leafy Surrey. So leafy in fact it looks like this #Rover 200 hasn’t long left before its consumed by rot. Perhaps the car behind it is a donor for parts? At launch, this 214SLi model was highly praised by CAR when tested against its rivals.
Such sad news about Quentin. He was so supportive in my early career, I owe him more than I can ever say. Unique, brilliant and knowledgeable on camera, funny, generous and unfailingly excellent company off it. Go well Q.
Always check the car park. Or in this case, always check behind the warehouse on the grotty industrial estate you happen to find yourself at, just in case there’s something interesting lurking. And in this case its a 1993 Series II #AlfaRomeo 33 Cloverleaf.
C’est l’été ! And the #Fiat Topolino brings a smile to everyone’s face (or look of “WTF” – I’ll let you decide). Unlike the Ami it’s based on, you can buy this without doors – an ‘open air’ version with rope either side (tho that’s probably another reason not to buy one for most)
Austin-Healey 100M making for a quintessential English scene… But this spot is from the car park of the Intermarché in Prayssac, southwestern France… So shame its not a Citroën DS Bossaert instead.
Tell me you’re in France without telling me you’re in Fra… Actually, this is British car (in case you’d not clocked the number plate). Driven all the way from Southampton and en route to Toulouse (where it originally came from). A long way to go in a 1974 #Citroen Ami 8 Break!
