Btw, on the never-ending debate over ‘dual loyalty’ - maybe someone should have a word with AIPAC over pushing that anti-Semitic trope. Here’s a top AIPAC donor comparing supporting AIPAC to serving in the Israeli military. Yep, nothing problematic in that comparison whatsoever!
This is the best single article I’ve seen on the lies that killed hundreds of thousands and cost us trillions. Thank you, @dylanmatt (with great documentation from @DavidCornDC). https://t.co/MXLEHXdDTx via @voxdotcom
Hypothetically - bear with me for a moment - what if someone - say a reality TV star - spent years slandering an American President with a batshit crazy conspiracy theory about where that President was born?
Brian Kemp could sign #HB481 in the next 24 hours effectively banning abortion in the state of #Georgia. This bill makes women who seek abortion criminals facing jail time. Women could be investigated by the police for miscarriages. Watch Sen. Jen Jordan: https://t.co/e725Ek2kNq
One thing these Avenatti charges underline is that federal law enforcement can move quickly when it wants to, even in white collar matters. It appears all the charged conduct happened in March 2019. It's still March 2019.
The Barr story, made simple:
* Trump won in part due to a massive foreign attack on our democracy.
* Trump engaged in extensive abuses of power to prevent a reckoning into that.
* Trump's AG is blocking a public airing on both those fronts.

"Collusion" has always been about a central question: Has Trump, as a candidate and as President, always acted in America's interests, or has he pursued his own personal interests, political & financial, at our expense? It's unclear from Barr's letter how Mueller addressed that.
By almost exclusively charging international extremists as terrorists, the Justice Department inflates the perceived threat of those actors, compared to those with right-wing domestic ideologies. https://t.co/1yXpxuLiHP
Just to be clear, the Trump cult propaganda line right now is:
Mueller probe was fake
That fake probe exonerates Trump on conspiracy
You should believe that conclusion while pretending the same probe's conclusion about the scope of the Russian interference effort doesn't exist
I think Mueller and his team need to answer for this after accusing Manafort of allegedly colluding in an unredacted section of Rosenstein’s memo in August 2017: https://t.co/5R1ZqN6Eaz
If and when Trump and DOJ try to conceal the Mueller report (as opposed to Barr’s shady, partisan summary) what will Republicans and the writers of today’s credulous headlines say? https://t.co/OGi0VS5gDD
@mattyglesias I wonder if some of the zeal to prove a “Russiagate hoax” is rooted in guilt (or denial) about publishing what turned out to be info stolen by Russians to affect the election.
Reading the coverage today one would assume that the release of the Mueller report ended the criminal investigations into Trump his inauguration, his business, and his foundation.
It didn't. He still has more criminal exposure than all the other Presidents combined.
