A lot has changed across https://t.co/mNQvMMkKFc over the last few weeks.

We’ve shipped updates across trading, subnet research, the block explorer, validator tooling, mobile, and general reliability / quality of life.

Here’s what’s new:

1️⃣ Trading rebuilt

The Trade page has been rebuilt with new source + destination selectors across TAO, subnet tokens, and validators.

Trades now have a full execution flow showing:

Submitted → In Block → Finalized

You can close the modal mid-trade and a persistent card in the header will continue tracking it.

We also added pair-specific slippage presets, quote-expired states, high price-impact warnings, and rebuilt the wallet sidebar.

2️⃣ Subnet pages significantly expanded

Every subnet now has a deeper research interface with a collapsible stats sidebar, integrated swap panel, and dedicated tabs for:

- Trading — price chart from 1H → ALL, live transactions + type filters, liquidity
- Tokenomics — supply, emissions, and alpha burn
- Metagraph — UID-level stake, trust, incentive, and emission
- Validators — validator table + historical APY
- Miners — incentive + emission by UID
- Holders — top holders + coldkey distribution
- Weights — validator × miner weight matrix
- Conviction — lock history, unlock schedule + individual positions
- Registration — registration cost, metrics + every registration event

The goal is to make each subnet page a complete place to understand both its market and its underlying network.

3️⃣ Full Bittensor explorer

https://t.co/0lgR9A5PzC now has dedicated explorer pages for:
- Blocks
- Extrinsics
- Events
- Transfers
- Swaps
- Accounts

Individual extrinsics have full technical detail pages, while account pages now show balances, transfers, stakes, and coldkey swaps.

We’ve also added Sudo history, runtime upgrade history, and direct account links anywhere a coldkey or hotkey appears across the platform.

4️⃣ Better charts + tables

Charts now have:
- redesigned crosshairs
- latest-value pills
- fullscreen mode
- instant hover interaction

Tables now preserve page, page size, and sorting directly in the URL, every column header has a tooltip, and column visibility is easier to control.

5️⃣ Explore + Validator improvements

Bubble map and heatmap views received a number of visual and interaction fixes, Explore stat cards were simplified, market-cap precision was improved, and inactive subnet filtering now accounts for whether a subnet has called `start_call`.

Validator pages also received layout fixes, a redesigned subnet selector, and Validators now has its own dropdown in the main navigation.

6️⃣ Mobile + QOL
- rebuilt mobile navigation drawer
- bottom drawers for table filters + page size
- tables now scroll cleanly inside their frame
- animated block-number ticker
- fixed tiny-price-change NaN% states
- new 404 page
- dozens of smaller reliability and UI fixes throughout the platform

🧠 Bittensor $TAO update: Root Basket Trading

Bittensor has taken another major step in how Root validators operate.

Root Reborn introduced validator beta baskets. Now, validators can actively manage those baskets by trading between subnet positions on-chain.

Here’s what changes:

1️⃣ Weights are replaced by actual trades

`set_root_weights` has been removed.

Root dividends now remain invested in the subnet where they were earned. If a validator wants to change its exposure, it has to actually sell one basket holding and buy another.

2️⃣ Validators can rotate across subnets — or into TAO

A basket trade sells alpha from one subnet into TAO, then uses that TAO to purchase another subnet.

Netuid 0 can also be used as a cash position, allowing part of the basket to remain in TAO.

3️⃣ Validator strategy now directly affects basket performance

Stakers still own the same proportional share of the validator’s basket.

What changes is the underlying portfolio — and over time, its NAV.

This makes validator selection increasingly about more than APY, fees, and stake. Basket composition, trading strategy, and realized performance now matter too.

4️⃣ Trading has protocol-level guardrails

Basket trades are constrained by price bands, daily turnover limits, liquidity caps, concentration limits, dedicated proxy permissions, and governance freeze controls.

The broader progression is becoming clear:
- Root Reborn created validator baskets.
- Curated Beta introduced validator allocation.
- Basket Trading turns those baskets into actively managed on-chain strategies.

As Root continues to evolve, understanding how validators allocate capital — and how those decisions perform — becomes increasingly important.
