People ask me what I plan to do in office. Here is my answer.
Introducing the Cleveland Green Deal, a version of the GND that is Cle specific, achievable in the next 4 years & in the power of city council.
tldr: here’s a pic
For those who want details, here’s a thread:
A study from Portland, Oregon, used moss as an air pollution detector, and Seattle replicated the project. @ayatforcle3, a project manager at @ChargeNetStnUS, is studying the feasibility of doing a similar study in Cleveland neighborhoods. From @EyeOnOH:

1st public commenter: Ayat will talk about participatory budgeting. “It included new people to participate in our government. Immigrants, like my parents, high schoolers, it was about giving everyone a say in our government.” Said Ayat. This is part 1.
At tonight's City Council meeting, @ayatforcle3 called on @CleCityCouncil to decriminalize fare evasion so that a forgotten pass or coming up short on a $2.50 fare wouldn't be a fourth degree misdemeanor.
I’m so excited to see Ellen running for Precinct Leader. I met her when I knocked on her door 9 months ago, and was immediately blown away. Not only did she ask tough questions, but she knew nearly every resident on her block. If you live in 3B, you should vote for her!
With help of some welcomed encouragement, I am running for DCC Precinct Leader in Cleveland’s 3B! I love my neighborhood and look forward to continue supporting to the creative forces already at work.
Really grateful to be working with @CLEforTransit to train newly arrived refugees on how to use our bus.
Read about what we are doing in @ClevelandScene!
Look who's helping welcome the newest Clevelanders, by showing Afghan refugees how to ride the bus--their first stop to success. @CLEforTransit

Yes! A big challenge for the over 100 new refugees to CLE is being able to navigate the bus system.
So my friends and I at CPT are helping organize these training sessions. Sign up to volunteer!
PS- I ❤️ transit & refugee support.

@ayatforcle3 and I are looking for 5-10 volunteers to help our new refugee Clevelanders get used to the @GCRTA system. If you are interested in helping, fill out form provided. Also feel free to get a hold of Ayat or myself

Amplifying a great ask from LeadSafeCLE.
$17.5 M from ARPA funds to provide financial help to landlords to make their homes lead safe.
Aside - Isn't it disappointing how the most detailed ARPA requests are coming from residents? Sounds like we need Participatory Budgeting.
The #LeadSafeCLE Coalition is presenting to @CleCityCouncil today. We're sharing why $17.5m of the @CityofCleveland's American Rescue Plan $511m allocation can help us protect both children today and generations of Clevelanders yet unborn.
🧵Here's what you'll hear...
Please join us TOMORROW, October 20th at 6:00 p.m. for a special edition of our monthly hybrid Community Forum at @OldStoneCLE. We will be joined by @KerryMcCormack1 and @ayatforcle3.

Over the past week I have heard troubling rhetoric against Issue 24.
Not only have police and councilors been using fear mongering language, but some of the criticisms are false.
So I want to break down what is fact & fiction here
A🧵:
Last 🧵
When talking about police safety & reform, we should be centering the voices of people most affected.
Fact is police violence disproportionally affects people of color.
And the fact is Issue 24 was written & supported by families affected by police brutality.
