There are a collection of tired and frankly ridiculous arguments floating around regarding things like the name ‘Palestine’ & when it was or wasn’t a modern nation state, or that the people living there for millennia aren’t indigenous, but it’s evident they’re all just noise to distract from Israel’s illegitimacy and crimes.

When the national identity of Palestinians was fully formed or its legal definition as a modern nation state enshrined in law (a very recent concoction for all states, anyway) are irrelevant when dealing with ethnic cleansing and extermination.

These crimes are always, always, always wrong, and do not require a Western definition of statehood to be met to distinguish them as crimes and oppose them, obviously.

Similarly, there is more than sufficient evidence that Palestinians are indigenous to the land — far more so than modern Jews as a singular ethnic group.

These arguments simply exist to promote the falsehood that the topic of Palestine and Israel is complex, when it’s not. The topic of Israel is so simple, its crimes so blatant, and its illegitimacy so obvious, that Zionists have to rely on these diversionary tactics to bog the conversation down and confuse and stifle those who refuse to do a basic reading of the subject matter.

Zionist extremists invaded and colonised land that was not theirs to recreate a biblical story, and have committed over a century of crimes to do so — the worst crimes known to mankind. And these crimes continue, now, today, because their Western backers allow them the space and platforms to spread their nonsense.

Only then did he encounter people who said: No, actually these are human beings, and Israel was founded as a genocidal death and rape-cult masquerading as a society.

And this incongruity in his mind had to be resolved somehow. These contradictions had to be untied. And he could do that in one of two ways: Accept and embrace the view, as anti-Zionists including Jews have, that Palestinians are fully human, and therefore have all the rights that come with being fully human, including not being systematically hunted, tortured, maimed, raped and killed by a genocidal death-cult funded and armed and diplomatically shield by the US-NATO empire. And the right to resist that.

The other way he could resolve this tension in his mind between either having basic moral principles or remaining committed to the death-cult murderous depravity that his parents imbued in him from birth was to lean into the comfortable normality of his entire life history, and say: Fuck basic morality, fuck the humanity of Palestinians, I'm going to construct a deranged web of lies and hoaxes drawing on all the hasbara talking points my mommy and cousin and nephew and uncle forwarded me on Facebook along with the sex-pest rapist Destiny and his cult fandom, and desperately try to convince all my viewers that actually this is the Normal and Civilized stance to have.

And of course that is exactly what he did. Because deep down Ethan Klein is and has always been one of the most depraved amoral scumbags who have walked this earth, an exact mirror-image of every fanatical Zionist, especially the self-proclaimed "liberal" variety who pathetically and desperately try to layer over their pathological murderous rape-cult depravities with the rhetoric of empathy.
