Dear Menstruation,

We need to talk.

First of all, I respect your consistency. Every month, no fail.

You don’t even send a memo,you just show up. That’s commitment.

But can we address a few things? 😢

You already take bl00d. Fine, we’ve accepted that part.

You already bring cramps that make us question every life choice we’ve ever made. We’ve managed.

You already come with fatigue that turns a simple flight of stairs into Mount Everest. We’ve coped.

So my question is,why the extra?

Why do you always have to announce your arrival by redecorating our faces with pimples? 🥲😢

Is the bl00d not enough announcement? Is the back pain not loud enough? Do you really need to leave souvenirs on our cheeks and chin for the whole world to see?

We are already dealing with mood swings, cravings, and the fear of staining white. We are already calculating pad money.

Please, can we sign a peace treaty? Take the bl00d, take the cramps if you must, but leave our faces alone.

We are managing enough. Let us at least keep our glow.
