🔥 THE FIRE OF IBRAHIM ﷺ
The Qur’an tells us of one of the greatest miracles in the life of Prophet Ibrahim ﷺ, mainly in Surah Al-Anbiya (21:51–70) and Surah As-Saffat (37:83–98).
Ibrahim ﷺ challenged his people for worshipping idols instead of Allah. He broke their idols, leaving the largest one, so they would be forced to question the power of what they worshipped.
When they became furious, they decided to throw him into a huge fire.
They said:
«“Burn him and support your gods, if you are going to act.”
— Qur’an 21:68»
But Allah commanded the fire:
«“O fire! Be cool and safe for Ibrahim.”
— Qur’an 21:69»
And the fire could not harm him.
Allah says:
«“And they intended for him harm, but We made them the greatest losers.”
— Qur’an 21:70»
Imagine being thrown into a blazing fire while standing completely firm upon the truth. Ibrahim ﷺ did not abandon his faith, even when an entire community stood against him.
This miracle teaches us that nothing has power independently of Allah. Fire burns because Allah allows it to burn. Harm and benefit are ultimately in His hands.
It also teaches us the meaning of tawakkul: trusting Allah even when the situation appears impossible.
Ibrahim ﷺ stood alone, but he was never truly alone—Allah was with him.
May Allah grant us the courage to stand for the truth, the patience of Ibrahim ﷺ, and complete reliance upon Him. Ameen. 🤲
Allah is sufficient for the one who puts his trust in Him.
