Trucks and tractor-trailers need more space to stop and maneuver. Avoid cutting in front of them or making aggressive moves. One wrong decision can lead to serious accident. Give trucks the space they need—your safety depends on it. #RoadSafety#DriveSafe#StayAlert#TruckSafety
Stay safe on the road 🚛⚠️
Avoid “bumper to bumper” driving—never follow trucks or tractor trailers too closely. Give them space, stay alert, and protect your life.
Safety first, always.

@renoomokri A law needs to be made by @NGRSenate that mandates truck drivers to undergo a compulsory training and retaining before stepping on that vehicle. It is for the overall safety of all humanity @Omojuwa @vdmempire @renoomokri@Gidi_Traffic

@renoomokri The way forward is that truck drivers needs to be mandatorily trained on “problem identification “ on trucks before embarking on a trip and if the issue is lack of a parking spot for the trucks then it is high time FG enforce parking of truck is a designated parking bay.
@truckademy@truckmatters@renoomokri @vdmempire Please kindly find time to read my article on the importance of training and retaining truck drivers

Thank you
@truckademy@truckmatters@renoomokri I totally agree with most submission.
The accident wasn’t the truck driver’s fault but he made a serious error by not putting the right safety signs on the road.
The way to go is to make a law that anyone who wants to drive truck must undergo a compulsory training.@vdmempire
The Road Safety Report released by the @BSI_UK is a very important report that needs to be implemented across all African countries because Africa still has the highest casualty with regards Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) @FRSCNigeria@followlastma@TrafficChiefNG@lagostraffic961
Talking of “drivers training programs”, I am of the opinion that truck drivers needs to be mandated to be trained officially via a standardized truck driving school for the government to achieve its goal and also the UN SDGs on RTCs.
However, my interest is in the aspect of “Safe Road Users” which emphasizes the importance of promoting responsible behavior by all those using the road system. This can indeed achieve through education campaigns, drivers training programs and enforcement of traffic laws.
The ultimate ambition of the safe system is to help eliminate fatalities and serious injuries on the road network known as the “Vision Zero” given the amount of driving that takes place on our roads every day.
The report points out that yes “policy interventions” is key to achieving road safety but then a “safe system approach” offers a dynamic and forward thinking framework that ensures the protection of all road users.
