Athletes shouldn't be given government jobs just because they win medals.

They already receive ₹1–2 crore in prize money from the government, additional rewards from state governments, brand deals, endorsements, and plenty of other opportunities.

Meanwhile, a government job aspirant spends years preparing for competitive exams, often sacrificing a significant part of their youth, with no guarantee of getting selected.

If government jobs are meant to be based on merit and competition, then athletes should not get them simply as a reward for winning medals.
