Why is it that some Christians like to cook up lies against Islam and use it to promote hatred against the faith as a way of promoting their own religion? Why?

Islam views women as full human beings, equal in spiritual worth, dignity, and ultimate accountability before Allah, while recognizing natural differences in roles, responsibilities, and rights in certain areas of life. Here are the clearest, most balanced principles from the Qurʾān and authentic Sunnah:

1. Equal spiritual value and reward: “Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while being a believer, We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do.” (Qurʾān 16:97).
Men and women are judged by the same standard: taqwā (God-consciousness). Paradise is not male-only; in fact, many narrations say most of its inhabitants will be righteous women.

2. Equal intellectual and moral capacity: The Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: “Women are the twin halves of men” (shaqāʾiq al-rijāl) – Tirmidhī, Abū Dāwūd.
Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim, male and female. The first university in recorded history (al-Qarawiyyīn in Fez) was founded by a Muslim woman, Fāṭimah al-Fihrī, in 859 CE.

3. Protection, honour, and financial independence: A woman keeps her own wealth forever (marriage does not transfer it to her husband). She has the absolute right to own property, run businesses, inherit, and invest, rights European women only gained in the late 19th century.
Men are assigned the duty of provision (nafaqah), even if the wife is richer. This is not “superiority”; it is responsibility and service to the family.

4. Consent and choice in marriage: “A previously unmarried woman cannot be married until her consent has been sought, and a previously married woman cannot be married until she is consulted.” (Bukhārī, Muslim). Forced marriage is invalid and sinful.

5. Dress and modesty apply to both genders: The Qurʾān first commands men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts (24: 30), then tells women to do the same and draw their coverings (24: 31). Modesty is a shared value; the ḥijāb/khimār is the female expression of it.

6. Leadership and public life: Women led businesses (Khadījah), fought in battles when needed (Nusaybah bint Kaʿb), taught hadith and fiqh (ʿĀʾishah, Hafṣah), and gave bayʿah (pledge) directly to the Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam). There is no blanket prohibition on women being judges, scholars, doctors, entrepreneurs, or political leaders, differences of opinion exist only on the head-of-state role.

7. Kindness and elevated status: The Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam).repeatedly said: “The best of you are those who are best to their women.” (Tirmidhī). Paradise lies at the feet of mothers (a famous hadith in Nasāʾī and others). He stood up in respect when his daughter Fāṭimah entered the room.

8. Corrections of pre-Islamic oppression: Islam ended female infanticide, gave women inheritance rights, limited polygamy with strict justice conditions, and made marital kindness an act of worship.

In short: Islam honours women as partners in building civilization, not subordinates. Any abuse, forced marriage, honour killings, or denial of education done “in the name of Islam” is a betrayal of the Qurʾān and Sunnah, not a reflection of them.

The Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) summed it up in his Farewell Sermon:
“Treat women well, for they are with you like captives (in your care)—you have rights over them, and they have rights over you.”

May Allah guide us all to treat every woman, mother, daughter, sister, wife, with the dignity He has given her.

No, it’s not the pinnacle of Islam. You’re already starting from the wrong place. The black stone isn’t the Kaaba, and the Kaaba isn’t the black stone. They’re not the same thing.

The Kaaba is just the building Muslims face in prayer. That’s all. No one worships it. The black stone, Hajar al-Aswad, is just an ordinary stone, a relic.

Alhaji? That’s not from Allah. It’s a social title for anyone who has done Hajj. It means you completed one obligation if you could. Nothing more. It doesn’t make you smarter, more righteous, or spiritually perfect. Plenty of Alhajis can’t even quote five verses of the Quran properly, and many great scholars never carried the title.

Islam isn't about travel or touching stones. True peak is your character, your justice, your mercy, your honesty, and your obedience to Allah, even when no one is watching.

Hajj doesn’t make you a better Muslim. It’s worship. Alhaji is just people talking. That’s why it’s the last pillar, for those who can afford it, not a measure of faith or status.
