Introverts don't hate people, they hate drama. Stress. Conflict. Shit that lowers their whole vibe. That's why they don't argue. That's why they don't talk. That's why they keep their circle small and life private. They're simple people. And all they want is peace & good vibes.
My "high functioning autism" is basically everyone else seeing me as "completely normal but maybe just a bit picky/particular"... while internally it's me in constant sensory overload, social overload, and fighting against my executive dysfunction to just do stuff
Autistic people may find it hard to set boundaries, because we’re so used to being uncomfortable and having to give so much to every situation that we might not know where to draw the line. How uncomfortable is too uncomfortable? How much is too much to give/tolerate?
so many poor little autistic kids getting in so much trouble for asking WHY... when all we've ever been trying to do is make sure we can be good little citizens in a world that Doesn't. Make. Sense.
hugs to all my confused & striving ND friends out there❤️
Earlier today, I shared a resource explaining what executive dysfunction is. This resource is a checklist that describes how executive dysfunction often looks.
