Sat next to a lady on a long flight.
I’m window. She’s middle.
Boarding finishes, aisle seat still empty.
I lean over politely and say:

“Hey, looks like we got lucky — you can slide to the aisle for more space if you want.”

She turns, looks me dead in the eyes and says:
“No thanks… I’m exactly where I want to be.”

Then gives me this little smirk.
My brain short-circuited for a second. Was this… flirting? Or was I about to get a 5-hour lecture about mansplaining airplane seats?

I laughed nervously and stayed put. Little did I know this was the beginning of one of the wildest flights of my life.

@patricia_kooy Yep. My life exactly. 2 kids+2 parents with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Kids bedroom was so small we shared a double bed. No a/c in house or car. Just one car, always used. Hand me down clothes from cousins. No soda. Water from the sink. Hang up your school clothes to wear again.
