@ByuSome Kind of the same... Dated a girl- prayed about it. The answer was, "I could marry, or there would be someone better down the road." I took down the road and am very happy. The other girl - she was nice and is still active today, but trust God. My wife is better for me.
@PeacemakingSt Yes, we did it this year to kick off the youth theme. Youth speakers, youth leading, singing and playing the music, along with prayers as well. The only thing we did was conduct (the handbook requires). We had the youth council pick speakers and topics to go with the theme.
@Euro_Fly1@jefe_tweets No, he said to treat this ordinance like you would a temple ordinance. You wouldn't find someone sliding this in a temple prelude prior to an endowment session.
@baby_maumau Nothing to be ashamed of. Congrats to BYU; they have done well this year. They will get their chance to prove the haters wrong in the playoffs. - This is coming from a Utah fan.
@Euro_Fly1@jefe_tweets The entire purpose of Sacrament Meeting is the sacrament.
Preparation is individual, but those precious minutes before the start are "very" important for meditation, focus, and feeling the Spirit. We are too casual in our worship at times.
@ShaunMcKnight Go watch the training from the brethren on the sacredness of the sacrament before the meeting (a few years back). We often miss the mark on understanding this sacred ordinance. I won't condemn them, as it was likely very innocent, but I wouldn't celebrate this in any way.
@iiTzz_Tyrell I believe it's a rule for a stake president, not for a bishop. I serve with a bishop, and he and the other counselor have one; I do not 🤷♂️.
@DennisF15320203 Elder Holland ",death by suicide is manifestly not the answer. It will not relieve the pain you are feeling or that you think you are causing."
In other words - we carry all our struggles with us to the other side including resentments. Everything needs to be made right.
@MillenialMormon That's me. I despise the team (brand), yet I would love my kids to go there. Actually, my son-in-law does. It's okay to be a Utah fan.
@Kintsugijin@ZionsCampfire@White_Stone_LDS What is there to reconcile? The excommunicated person who returns is repentant, the member who breaks covenants is not. One person,though weak, has been made whole and the other person started whole and then failed- but can still repent. Why daily repentance is so important.
As your president, I pray for what our Heavenly Father wants for each of us—to be active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, proceeding forward on the covenant path into the eternities. We need one another’s prayers. I feel the positive effect of your prayers. I am thankful, and I love you.
@fortwxyz@OremUte No, it’s a market mechanism. It can actually expose the over valued stock and bring it back to a fair value for investors. Hoping a stock goes up or down is risky but understanding a stocks true value is part of trading.
@OremUte I mean… what isn’t a gamble then? 🤷♂️. Buying a house, switching jobs, marriage?
A gamble is getting something from nothing where someone loses and someone wins. You actually get something with stocks as an investment.
