@jalilword “In resp to COVID-19, the USA Fed will buy unlimited q'ties of Treas. bonds, the B of England will purchase £200 bil of gilts, & Europe ECB up to €750 bil euro bonds. Almost certainly, central banks will end up providing monetary finance to fund fiscal deficits.”
Adair Turner
Dear @jeremycorbyn
Wishing you all the best for tomorrow's #UKElection
The people of the UK deserve a govt that works for all people, they don't deserve the incompetent Tories who work only for the elites.
Good luck & good luck to the UK

I did not tweet much about Davos, but this one is interesting:
‘It feels like I’m at a firefighters conference and no one’s allowed to speak about water.’
This historian wasn’t afraid to confront the billionaires at Davos about their greed

@khalidkarim More unskilled foreign workers in low-value sector. With local workers' wage mostly apmost stagnant.. wonder how many FW needed to raise CE/GDP from 28% in 2010 to current 35%.
More than 6 million for sure.
Chevron wins $9.5 billion ISDS lawsuit against Ecuador. Instead of blaming the excessive rights of foreign investors in BITs & the pro-investor bias of arbitrators, the Attorney General blames the government’s actions and the defence by int'l law firms https://t.co/hhv5XNXmLe
@malaysiandigest @n_izzah@SyedSaddiq spot on YB! Silo thinking of prev govt led to overfocus on the supply-side of the TVET programme.. didn't study the demand side (industries)or drive it. MEF seem didn't care either, all they're thinking "we only need warm bodies "
@StatsMalaysia DOSM must release data based on bumiputera Semenanjung, Sarawak and Sabah for household income, wages, etc immediately. Let the rakyat know the true state of affairs.
@khalidkarim Sg Buloh-Kajang line was decided even prior to masterplan. Idris Jala claimed the decision was a 'no-brainer'! We know now what/who is the 'no-brainer'!
@Akbar_Ali Inequality bad for any economy. In Malaysia, bottom 60% simply do not have enough income to sufficiently buy basic goods & 0services for decent living. Globally.. creates underconsumption. Industries lacks market; excess surplus channelled to unproductive prop & financial sectors
