@DanielaGabor Whatever one's views on reform X or Y, I'm really struggling with the fact that the EC is now routinely using financial "incentives" to push for whatever policies they happen to like. That's not how it was supposed to work.
one more nusrat thing, bc I realize I’ve never shared one of the all-time bangers, the Yokohama recording of mustt mustt, which sounds as though it came from the ground, as much of the best music does

Stop trying to prove fitness, and start trying to do what is best to get you to the starting line fit, healthy, and ready to go.
The need to prove oneself comes from insecurity. It’s a lack of trust in the plan and the process. https://t.co/lEIfKVig6Z

++Nach vorläufigen Erkenntnissen haben die nächtlichen Schüsse im Aarauer Schachen ein Todesopfer und fünf, zum Teil schwer verletzte Personen gefordert.
Earlier today, Airlink performed a pre-match flyover at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
Our lowest recorded ADS-B altitude was 50 ft at standard pressure, or approximately 205–210 ft AMSL when corrected for the local QNH of 1019 hPa. With DHL Stadium standing about 164 ft tall near sea level, that puts the aircraft roughly 41–46 ft (12.5–14 m) above the top of the stadium.
hey just making sure everyone knows tom hardy put out a rap album where he does the “"now is the winter of our discontent” monologue from richard III in the bane voice on one of the tracks. okay have a good weekend
END OF AN ERA: Klaus-Michael Kuehne has died at 89, according to Manager Magazin, citing people close to his family. The German logistics billionaire had lived in Schindellegi, Switzerland, since 1975.
His stake was the real power center.
Kuehne Holding AG controlled 55.4% of Kuehne+Nagel at the end of 2025. The Kuehne Foundation held a further 4.7%.
That gave one man majority control over a group that generated CHF 28.1bn in revenue last year and ranks among the world's largest logistics companies.
His fortune was estimated at CHF 21.5bn, good for sixth place on Switzerland's rich list.
He joined the family firm in 1958 and took operational control in 1966, at just 29. He was re-elected to the board as recently as May 2026.
