“Obviously, he signed the tag, so when he has to be there and ready to play, he’ll be there.”
Dak Prescott has been showing his support to George Pickens this offseason.
Honestly believe 1 of the most underrated moves was Dallas Cowboys resigning Javonte Williams look at what Ken Walker and Travis Etienne got and then look at the extensions for Achane and Breece Hall. The FO rightfully is criticized for waiting too long but not on that. #Cowboys
Caleb Downs is 200IQ as a safety. Got to talk scheme and situational football with him and he reminds me mentally of Mike MacDonald.
Very aware of Quarterback’s process and how to manipulate them.
Add in the freak athleticism and man.. no clue how Dallas got him at 11.
When the Cowboys finished stacking their draft board, where was Caleb Downs on that list? He was #4 overall according to Stephen Jones in this convo with @chrisyates11 and @DallasXCEO on @DallasExpress

There is a concept in the Parker defense called the Triangle of Communication. It describes the three men tasked with disseminating calls for the rest of the defense. The trio is the Apex (Downs), the Mike (undecided), and the Strong Safety (likely Thompson).
The Dallas Cowboys finally did it—gave Dak Prescott real help on defense.
If that unit jumps, this roster is loaded. Dak was playing Top 5 ball.
And Caleb Downs changes everything. Love everything they did in this draft.
Cowboys rookie CB Devin Moore (4th-round pick) told Jerry Jones on his draft call that he was the best corner in the draft. Moore to @nhutchisontv on why he feels that way:
“I had some injuries in college. I feel like that had me very overlooked and slept on. The size, the speed, ability to bend and tackle, the length, I feel like I had been overlooked.”
Highlights from new Cowboys LB Dee Winters’ conference call with media:
- Wasn’t expecting a trade, was surprised to get the call
- Said he’s not familiar with the 3-4 scheme but that he’s learning the playbook now
- Christian Parker wants him in space, to “run-and-hit” to maximize his physicality
- First took on some green-dot responsibilities last season. “There’s a first time for everything, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes.”
- Was moving into a house in Arlington when he got the trade call
- He grew up watching the Cowboys with his family, excited to be able to put the jersey on for the first time
- Took his 30-visit with the Cowboys alongside DeMarvion Overshown in 2023
Caleb Downs on draft night with Ohio St DC Matt Patricia...

Patricia: "We talked about it last night. You know it. Talked to Schotty about it last night. You're ready to go."
