Reddish Vale - Probably the best designed course I've played. What Alister MacKenzie did with a pretty small bit of land is genius. The first 5 holes (across the road) are good but from the 6th onward the real fun begins. Quite difficult, quirky and, imo, magnificent. β β β β β
The new/December @golfmonthly is out this week and includes my look back at an excellent trip this July to four terrific courses that are as varied as they are lovely
Stunning morning after another wet 24hrs. Greens hand cut, holes changed and all bunkers back in play. The 1st of many fairway vertidrains being carried out with our gxi8ππ» @WiedenmannUK@BalmersSales
Starting to see the benefits of the 10th Lodge drainage. Not a chance we'd be cutting the green this morning, after all the rain this time 2 years ago! @EnvilleGolf

Waiting for the right conditions is sometimes the hardest part. taking full advantage of this dry spell with the Greens receiving a deep verti-drain down to 200mm with 12mm tines. Help aid compaction and air through the profiles after such a wet year. @ReddishValeGC@RVGCgreens
