I've been prototyping a tool for manipulating paths as if they were a malleable material.
The primary quality I'm aiming for is that the final path feels authored. Control point placement should feel intentional — not machine-generated.
A Beijing court has ruled that online gaming accounts can be inherited after a player dies.
The case involved a gamer who died last year at the age of 36 and had built up 87 gaming accounts over more than a decade, along with valuable in-game items.
After his death, his mother asked Chinese developer Changyou to transfer the accounts to her, but the company refused, saying its user agreement does not allow accounts to be transferred and that the company owns the account data and virtual items.
The court found that while the company still owns the accounts, the right to use them has economic value because Gu had spent years investing time and money into them.
The court ruled that his mother could inherit the right to use the accounts and ordered the company to transfer their real-name registration to her.
