The Mets tricked a Season Ticket Holder into giving up his seats for Emma Stone.
Emma sat in my friend's Mets season tickets last night, first row in RF.
Last week the Mets called him offering him a seat upgrade, "because it's been a tough season and he's been a STH for a long time (29 years)."
It turns out they needed the seats for Emma and Chris Pine to film a movie. They were probably never going to give him a choice, and hid the reason so he didn't have leverage. He was expecting a premium upgrade like club seats, but they put him in normal seats 16th row on the 1B side (arguably not even better than being first row on the field in the outfield).
I love the Mets, but this is crazy stuff.
“It’s such a bad precedent,” said Jack Mintz, an economist and the President’s Fellow of the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary. “It has no logic to it, outside of being extortion.”
Letting B.C. charge tolls on new Alberta pipeline is trade barriers 'on steroids,' say critics
The federal government letting B.C. take royalties on Alberta oil in a new West Coast pipeline could open a Pandora's box for provinces charging others https://t.co/8BjsMFc5eq via @nationalpost
