We have to separate the original goals of Bitcoin from what BTC has become today
If you truly cared about financial freedom & building crypto up as an alternative to fiat money;
Then you should join me in criticizing BTC & support chains that can deliver on Satoshi's vision now
SOL is a far more decentralized option for users compared to ETH L2's:
1. Admin keys can steal user funds
2. Centralized sequencers can censor TXs
3. Singular for-profit company extracts fees
None of this is true for SOL users, so spare me the sanctimonious decentralization BS!
Very excited to be joining @solstrategies as Chief Strategy Officer
Having been involved with Solana for four years this move will allow me to amplify my impact, working with an incredible team under the leadership of @leahwald. This is the time to double down on Solana!
Our validator, Laine, and our website https://t.co/4yRdhRpekB, become parts of the @solstrategies family while continuing the mission of deep, meaningful engagement and thought leadership. I will be focusing on our contributions to evolving Solana, driving innovation and continuing to make Solana the best, fastest and highest throughput blockchain in the world.
toly and I often argued openly in front of our teams. it was uncomfortable, but later we got feedback that it was helpful to see us hash out our disagreements.
but we tried to attack the idea, not the person. if it was about quality of the person, toly would always win.
this will be one of the greatest and most impactful crypto conferences of all time
I'll be there, as well as plenty of non-bald people

we're going to have an insane lineup and perhaps a cage fight around 228
I strongly recommend voting yes for SIMD 228 for the long-term health of the network and for Solana to compete
the current state is not good enough, not even close; we either stagnate or accelerate
as someone who's grinded every single day for this network for years with no days off on all verticals including staking, infrastructure, and whatever else you can think of — this is my informed opinion after looking at all sides
the pragmatic optimization culture is the main thing that sets us apart (and is the main reason why I choose to build here for the long term, we've had countless opportunities to expand but declined)
there are potential downsides, but they are very low probability, theoretical, and with clear mitigations — I think the upside strongly outweighs these
I also acknowledge there are silly arguments on both sides (like focusing on fake nominal yields or saying 500 validators would be fine) — ignore these and focus on the meat of the issue: how should inflation be set?
that being said, if any of our stakers strongly disagree with my judgment — please message me asap, and we will vote no on your behalf since we can split our votes
my personal recommendation is not the official voting stance of the Helius validator since that will reflect our stakers
Ngl Solana is insanely based.
The best apps.
The best UX.
The most usage.
The most revenue.
The best people and community.
We fight and squabble to get to the right answer, but it happens fast. We don’t spend 4 years to decide on a 5 year roadmap. We ship as an ecosystem, whether it’s code or ideas.
All the ones building, creating or contributing here are good honest people who have dedicated their lives to this.
It’s easy to get trapped in negative loops when markets are down, but this group continues to exceed expectations, and win against all odds.
Proud to be part of this and alongside all of you.
Solana.
