I’d actually recommend (for a non-Wood 1776 book) The Ideological Origins of the American Revolution by Bernard Bailyn.

Read it and you’ll understand why they revolted over infringements far less than what many put up with on a daily basis today.

@Mark_Wilson_25 @CherylSchatz I suspect the English translation of adam is not clear. The NET notes for Gen 1:26 discuss the proper and general use of adam. Perhaps in 3:22 should be general not specific, which includes Eve in mankind. Ex: Gen 6:1 refers to mankind, not Adam.

In Bible college, a common reading assignment for BIble classes was to read the books of the Bible in at least 4 different translations. (eg Read the 4 Gospels for "Life of Christ")

That simple exercise was extremely valuable, and is why I'm a Multi-Translation Onlyist today.
