South Korea needs a more realistic North Korea strategy. The left’s Sunshine Policy of endless aid and niceness is naive, because the Kim regime does not respond to kindness with goodwill.
At the same time, the right’s reflexive hostility is immature. Attacking North Korea would be national suicide. They have nuclear weapons, a mutual defense pact with Russia, and have removed reunification from their constitution. They are focused on internal development, not invasion.
The serious path forward is strength without recklessness. South Korea should remain firm and sovereign while actively pursuing a formal peace deal. Only after securing peace can serious talks about reunification even begin.
Had a blast today in NYC at the Knicks Parade talking with New Yorkers about their thoughts on the current state of the city and Trump vs. Mamdani 👀
Video out soon, I think you'll be surprised to hear some of their answers...
