Bihar and Uttar Pradesh started with almost the same challenges in smart meter rollout, but the outcomes became completely different.
Bihar succeeded because it focused on phased rollout, better technology, reliable NB-IoT connectivity, AI-based theft detection and consumer trust through a functional app.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh turned the same project into a public backlash.

RRTS vs Broad Gauge Semi-HSRs: Which one should India go with?
Recently, India announced its first-ever Broad Gauge Semi High-Speed corridor from Ahmedabad to Dholera, a 140 km long line with a design speed of 220 km/h and an operational speed of 200 km/h.
This new project makes me wonder what India should go with. On one side, we are developing RRTS, a regional transit system with a design speed of 180 km/h and an operational speed of 160 km/h. Meanwhile, this newly announced BG Semi-HSR will be 25% faster in terms of operational speed at 200 km/h, with potentially lower construction costs, and the added advantage of connectivity with the existing Indian Railways network.
I feel that along with HSR on all major routes, India should build BG Semi-HSRs as spurs on the next important corridors. RRTS should be limited to major metropolitan regions, seamlessly connecting suburbs and nearby cities.
Just hoping it doesn't turn into a mixed khichdi in the end 🤞
What's your opinion on this?
India is building the world’s highest and most challenging railway line in the Himalayas.
Indian Railways is silently constructing the world’s highest railway line, much higher than China’s Qinghai–Tibet Railway "The Bhanupli–Bilaspur–Leh railway line"
Stretching over 490 km through the Himalayas, the line will feature ~70 tunnels, covering more than 50% of the route length (approximately 260 km). The longest tunnel will be 27 km long. The project will also include 100+ major bridges, with the highest elevation reaching 5,359 meters near Taglang La Pass, the highest point any railway line in the world has ever reached.
The project is also estimated to be one of the most expensive in Indian Railways history, currently costing around ₹1.3 lakh crore. For comparison, the 500 km MAHSR was initially estimated around ₹1.1 lakh crore.
Currently, Phase 1 (Bhanupli → Bilaspur → Beri), spanning ~63 km, is under construction and expected to be completed soon, Hopefully, in the coming years, we will have a direct railway line connecting Leh.
USA is one of the largest oil producers AND reserve holders on the planet.
Yet they destroyed Iraq. Sanctioned Russia. Blockaded Venezuela.
Why?
Because American oil is expensive. Saudi oil costs $3/barrel. America’s costs $60.
Strategy: Use the world’s cheap oil first. Save yours for last.
Control the Gulf = Control the petrodollar = Print dollars forever.
Wherever there’s oil, there’s America.

Indian judiciary has become the only unelected institution that acts like a dictatorship. No accountability, no transparency, and no consequences for delay or bias. They answer to none, yet decide the fate of everyone.

Tejas Mk2 won’t make sense in the 2035+ timeline, once 5th-gen jets like AMCA enter service?.
Well, it's a shallow argument that ignores how real air forces are structured and operated.
Mk2 is about numbers and balance of the fleet, IAF requirement is of 50 squadrons and sanctioned strength no. is 42 sqdn.
AMCA production will take yrs to ramp up..even in the 2040s, AMCA numbers will be limited(maintainability and availability factor)
LCA M2 ensures the IAF has 10–12 squadrons of affordable, modern, multi-role fighters that can carry heavy payloads, fly long ranges, and use India’s full suite of indigenous sensors & weapons, so
✔️AMCA is for stealth penetration attack, high-threat ops.
✔️Tejas Mk2 & Rafale+ Su-Su-30 will be backbone of the fleet.
✔️Tejas Mk1A for numbers, LIFT, reserve sqdns.
Smart AFs around the globe uses a tiered mix, not an all 5th-gen fantasy fleet
USAF still inducts F-15EX and upgrades F-16, despite operating 5th-gen F-22 and F-35. China is producing J-10C and J-16 in huge numbers alongside J-20,J-35.
