The Qur’an is not saying Mary, the mother of Jesus, is literally the biological sister of Aaron or the daughter of the same Imran from Moses’ time. That’s a false assumption people keep repeating.

The Qur’an is full of stories about Musa and Harun showing clearly that they lived much earlier. How could the same book suddenly mix them up and say Mary is their actual sister? Come on, you know better than this. 😅

Even the classical tafsir books explain it plainly. “O sister of Aaron” means she is from the same noble or prophetic family line as Aaron or it is an Arabic way of praising her high character by comparing her to someone righteous like Aaron. This has been the standard understanding forever.

But okay, let’s say you still insist that “Muhammad didn’t know the difference between the two Maryams.” Fine. Then let’s look at your own book (the bible).

Matthew 1:1 calls Jesus the son of Abraham and the son of David.
Luke 3:23 calls him the son of Joseph.
Mark 1:1 calls him the Son of God.

So Jesus has four different fathers? What do you call that? 🤔

You’ll obviously say it doesn’t mean a literal father every time. It refers to lineage, legal descent, or divine sonship. Exactly. Same principle applies in the Qur’an.

So why is it fine when the Bible does it, but suddenly a problem when the Qur’an uses similar language?

Jesus warned you guys in Matthew 7: “Judge not, that ye be not judged. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”
